Glück ist er ausgestopft.

| Nun, bei durchschnittlich 6° Celsius im Sommer und einem
stets strengen Wind muss man sich gut einpacken.
The summer average is 6° Celsius with a staedy and strong wind
blowing. We had to protect ourselves. |

mitnehmen.
As soon as one leaves the town Longyearbyen, your are adviced to take a gun with you that protects against polar bears. |

Longyearbyen hat 2000 Einwohner und ist mit 78° 15' der nördlichste Ort der Welt. Longyearbyen has a population of 2000 and is with 78° 15' the most northern town in the world.

Unsere 'Nordstern' hat Platz für 110 Passagiere, wir waren allerdings nur 40. Our 'Nordstjernen' had vaccancy for 110, but we were just 40 passengers. |

Plötzlich taucht ein riesiger Tafeleisberg auf. Es handelt sich um ein ungewöhnlich großes Stück Gletschereis, das selbst die Forscher auf dem Schiff erstaunen läßt. Suddenly, we see a gigant glacier iceberg. Even the researcher on board are astonished to see such a big one here. |
